Iris (Yellow Flag) pseudacorus

Yellow Flag Iris

Each tall, branched stem bears 4-12 deep yellow flowers. Vigorous bright green strap-like foliage. Deer resistant. This plant is considered invasive in many areas and should be contained and seed pods removed to prevent spreading.

Prefers sun to light shade. Does well in regular garden soils or in shallow water. Can tolerate clay soils. Will naturalize in wet areas, but is not a native.
