Iris pseudacorus Variegata

Yellow Flag

Bears multiple beardless yellow flowers on each stem. Foliage is varigated white/green in spring and turns fully green in summer. Can grow in shallow water or garden soil. Not native!

Prefers sun to part shade, moist to wet soil, even standing water to 12" deep. Spreads by rhizomes and by seed. May be invasive, should be contained and seed pods removed to prevent spreading.
