Dark green, flat leaf variety with pronounced flavor. The gourmet's favorite. Larval food for butterflies. Biennial, but will self-sow. Not deer resistant. Excellent source of vitamins, iron, and calcium for people.
Prefers sun to light shade and moist, well-drained soils.
