A mat-forming shrubby plant with trailing stems of deep green, hairy, narrow foliage, it has bright blue star-shaped blooms in spring and summer. Good as groundcover for rock gardens and slopes, or hanging over walls. Tolerates coastal conditions.

Prefers full sun to light shade and well-drained soil. Prefers afternoon shade in warmer areas. Attractive to butterflies and bees.
