4"-5" Brilliant orange and vermillion double blooms have yellow midribs. Plants spread via underground rhizomes. Good for naturalizing in contained areas. Mid to late season. Tetraploid. Prefers full sun to light shade and average, well-drained soil.
Attractive to butterflies, hummingbirds. Tolerant of coastal conditions, clay soil. Pull out old foliage as it yellows and remove spent bloom stalks to prevent seed production. Divide every 3 yrs.
