Clump-forming, evergreen plants produce white blooms in late winter/early spring. Flowers are usually single with yellow stamens. Seed strain. Prefer light shade and humus-rich soil. Deer, rabbit and vole resistant.

Prefers light to partial shade and moist, well-drained soil. Cut back old leaves in winter. Drought tolerant. Self sows where happy. All plant parts are toxic.
