Hosta 'Designer Genes'

Plantain Lily

A stunning plant with brilliant yellow leaves on red petioles. Plants maintain good yellow color long into the season. Purple blooms on tall red scapes flower in late summer. One of the very best!

Prefers bright shade and humus-rich, moist, well-drained soil, but will tolerate average to dry soils and full shade. Hostas will grow in ordinary garden soil and withstand drought, but they are most beautiful when provided with ample moisture and organic matter. Can tolerate clay soil.
