Plants form low mats that are covered with a profusion of brilliant violet-blue, bell-shaped flowers in late spring and summer. (Hybrid between C. poscharskyana and C. portenschlagiana.)
Best if grown in light shade to sun. Prefers moist, well-drained, neutral to alkaline soil. Protect from afternoon sun in warmer climates. Tolerant of coastal conditions. Can tolerate clay soils.
