Rudbeckia laciniata

Cutleaf Coneflower

Golden-yellow daisies appear for 2 months if the first flush of flowers are cut back to the second set of buds. Deeply cut, widely toothed leaves are shiny green. Atractive to butterflies, songbirds and pollinators.

Prefers sun and moist, well drained soil, but tolerates most. Can tolerate clay soil. May be cut back by half in June to reduce height.
