Meehania cordata

Creeping Mint / Meehan's Mint

This native has trailing stems of heart-shaped, scalloped green leaves that hug the ground, rooting as they go. Hooded, two-lipped, violet blue blooms appear on 3" spikes above the foliage. This is a good, non-aggressive native replacement for Ajuga and Lamium.
