6"-8" lavender-blue flowers with red anthers. Blooms late May/June to September. Attractive seed heads. Prune back half of previous season's growth in late February or early March. Deer resistant.
Clematis enjoy a sunny location with well-drained neutral to alkaline soil where their roots are kept cool by shade or mulch. Never overwater. Can be grown under black walnut trees.
