Beardtongue

This showy clump-former has lance-shaped leaves and features white, tubular, two-lipped blooms in panicles atop erect, rigid stems. Early summer flowers, sometimes with a blush of pink, are very showy and attract butterflies and hummingbirds. Native.

Prefers sun to light shade and well-drained, sandy to gritty soil. Tolerant of costal conditions and drought, once established.
