Long, wand-like, fragrant white flower spikes are held erect over deep green, dissected leaves in autumn. Do not allow to dry out or leaf edges will brown. Native. Excellent for late season color. Deciduous. Deer resistant. All plant parts are poisonous! May be slow to establish.
Prefers partial (afternoon) shade to full shade and moist, organic-rich, well-drained soil. Do not allow plants to completely dry out as foliage will scorch.
