Hepatica acutiloba

Sharp-lobed Hepatica

This charmer has light blue to lavender, occasionally white, 1/2” anemone-like blooms that arise on single stems 4”-8” tall before the new foliage emerges in early spring. The interesting dark green stemless leaves up to 3" wide are 3-lobed. New leaves open after the flowers open in early spring. A woodland plant for early spring color. Leaves turn liver-colored in winter, remaining until the plants start to set fruit. May self sow where happy. Native.
