6"-8" lavender-blue flowers with red anthers. Blooms June to August. Attractive seed heads. Prune back half of previous season's growth in late February or early March. Deer resistant. Never overwater!

Clematis enjoy a sunny location with well-drained alkaline soil where their roots are kept cool by shade or mulch. Can be grown under black walnut trees.
