4"-6" mauve pink flowers in July and August. Attractive seed heads. Prune back hard in late February or early March. Group 3. Deer resistant. Never overwater!

Clematis enjoy a sunny location with well-drained alkaline soil where their roots are kept cool by shade or mulch. Can be grown under black walnut trees.
