Tolerant of coastal conditions and clay soil. Cut back after blooming to within 6" of the ground for better foliage and to encourage reblooming.
Characteristics & Attributes
Trumpet like flowers in a wide range of colors. Individual blooms last for only one day, but the profusion of buds assures near constant flowering throughout the season. The foliage is arranged in fans of longitudinally folded leaves. Adaptable low maintenance plants, they are very resistant to drought and heat but can also tolerate wetter conditions, coastal sites, and clay soil. Attractive to butterflies and hummingbirds.
