Hosta 'Eternal Flame'

Plantain Lily

This small hosta, a sport of 'Whirlwind', has wonderful quilted leaves of black-green with brilliant white centers. Unlike its parent its color does not fade. Lavender blooms appear in mid-summer. Attractive to butterflies and hummingbirds.

Hostas will grow in ordinary garden soil and withstand drought, but they are most beautiful when provided with ample moisture and organic matter. Can tolerate clay soil.
